José has obtained a bachelor’s in General Social Work from the University of North Texas. He went on to obtain his Masters of Science of Clinical Social from the University of Texas-Austin. He has gained experience working with people that have gone through crisis and have struggled with trauma. He has worked directly as a counselor for victims at a local police department for several years, worked at domestic violence agency as a legal advocate. He has facilitated group sessions at inpatient facilities, along with individual therapy.



Jose has experience with trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma model therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy.He has assisted clients in managing struggles with depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders. He also works with people struggling with obsessive compulsive disorder, OCD, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, ADHD, across a person’s life span working with adolescents and adults.
