• MS in Counseling with a focus on Trauma Treatment from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas

• BS in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas

• Experience working with adolescent and adult survivors of child abuse and sexual abuse 

• Graduate studies in narrative therapy, systems theory, and the use of expressive arts in the treatment of trauma 

• Engaged in polyvagal theory training (to understand the complex interplay between our nervous system, emotions, and behavior) and continued exploration of other somatic methods for trauma treatment and therapeutic intervention
