Additional therapeutic offerings include Somatic Experiencing, expressive therapies, family education, and mindfulness-based relapse prevention. Treatment services are structured around each patient's individual needs, combining skills-based interventions with process-oriented therapies. Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is also available when clinically appropriate and integrated into a comprehensive therapeutic framework.

Teen and Adolescent Treatment Programs

SunCloud Health offers specialized treatment programs for adolescents and teens through PHP, IOP, and residential care services. These programs are designed to address the unique developmental, emotional, and behavioral needs of younger patients.

With treatment centers located in Naperville, Northbrook, Matteson, and Chicago, Illinois, SunCloud Health provides access to care for families throughout the region. Its adolescent programs emphasize comprehensive assessment and integrated treatment rather than focusing solely on symptom management.

The treatment process begins with an in-depth evaluation that considers overall health, psychiatric and medical history, family background, current functioning, and treatment recommendations. Family participation is incorporated into the assessment process and ongoing treatment whenever possible. Trauma-informed care remains a central component of the adolescent treatment model, providing opportunities for teens to address underlying challenges that may contribute to emotional or behavioral difficulties.

To meet varying levels of need, SunCloud Health offers three levels of care for adolescents:

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

The Intensive Outpatient Program is designed for adolescents who require structured therapeutic support while continuing to participate in daily activities such as school and family life. Treatment is typically provided three to five days per week for approximately three hours per session.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

The Partial Hospitalization Program offers a more intensive level of care, with treatment provided five days per week for approximately six hours per day. The program delivers comprehensive therapeutic support while allowing participants to return home each evening.

Residential Program

The Residential Program provides a structured, immersive treatment environment for teen girls who require a higher level of support than outpatient or PHP services can offer. Residential care may also serve as a step-down option for adolescents transitioning from inpatient treatment but who are not yet ready to return home full-time.
